Why Microsoft Advertising?

Case Study 1 - Lisa Angel

Client objective


Revenue growth, Sales, ROAS

The challenge

The client, Lisa Angel, had ambitious growth targets for 2025 and were unsure of how to meet them. They wanted to look to expand paid activity across lesser utilised channels but didn’t necessarily know where to focus their attention. They also wanted to reduce reliance on Google Ads.

What they did

Clicky worked with ClickTech to help the client expand their activity across Microsoft Ads which had previously been a very small part of overall Paid Media spend. The plan was simple: import the most important & successful campaigns from Google Ads into the Microsoft Ads platform and optimise them for the Bing network. 

Taking advantage of Microsoft Ads extensive partner network, they introduced a top to bottom funnel strategy across Bing, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, and more. They focused on key promotion dates surrounding Black Friday & Christmas, as well as utilising existing first-party data to leverage initial performance.

Results

This comprehensive, informed, full funnel strategy led to the client exceeding targets for all key metrics. What was once a small, lesser utilised channel became a key part of Lisa Angel’s Paid Media mix, with Revenue, Sales, and ROAS all exceeding predefined targets for the quarter:

  • 32% above Revenue target
  • 19% above Sales target
  • 8% above ROAS target

Case Study 2 -Acorn

Client objective

Focused on visibility, optimise ROAS, CPA, and Quote to Sale CVR.

The challenge

Acorn was already using Microsoft Ads, but felt that they weren’t dominating the market as they could be. They wanted to expand activity into new advertising spaces – they just didn’t know which ones.

What they did

There were several large competitors in their market that were making strides across paid channels. After conversations and guidance from the reps at ClickTech, Clicky suggested that the client trial an Audience Ads campaign. This is an area of activity they had never previously ventured into, and as such these advertising spaces had high potential. They utilised the audience campaign alongside existing Search activity which helped complete the funnel approach.

Results

This approach resulted in high conversion rates and also significant return rates through Search. Some standout results:

  • 84% Quote to Purchase CVR
  • 576% Increase in Impressions
  • 78% Decrease in CPC

 

The client was ultimately very happy and glad to have tested out this new avenue for their paid media efforts.
